What do we do with your information?
- Your personal information is stored and processed on our internal systems and third-party
systems to allow us to provide our services to you
- We keep a record of your purchase history for internal record keeping purposes
- We send periodic marketing communication about new products, projects, events and other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address that you have provided and agreed to be communicated through
- You are free to opt-out of hearing from us by not signing up during the check-out process or following the unsubscribe instructions included in all our marketing communications

How long do we retain your information?
- We store your purchase information for up to 6 years after a purchase is made
- We may store some information about you for a longer period due to external regulations and legal obligations imposed on use as a business. For example, HMRC tax purposes, legal reporting and auditing obligations
- We will retain your personal information for as long as you choose to remain on our database


How do we protect your information?
- We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and kept private. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable electronic, physical and managerial procedures and policies to safeguard the information we collect online

Nation Entertainment AWS account
- All our server backups are encrypted to protect data from illicit access

Age suitability 

The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience but please be aware that there are limited activities for younger children.

What are the opening hours?
We are open seven days a week:
Monday – Friday 12:00 – 20:00 (last entry is at 19:00)
Saturday and Sunday 10:00 – 18:00 (last entry is at 17:00)


Do I have to arrive at my ticket entry time?
You will need to book a ticket on a slot of your choice through our website. Please aim to arrive at your entry time. Priority will be given to customers who arrive on time. If you are delayed, you will be allowed entry, but we cannot guarantee the time. There may be a waiting time to enter the exhibition at busy times due to capacity restrictions, especially at weekends.

 

How do I get to the museum?

We recommend taking public transport to SCOOP. The museum is located in King’s Cross beside Regents Canal, less than a 10-minute walk from King’s Cross St Pancras Station and a short 5-minute walk from Granary Square, following the Bagley Walk footpath. What are the ticket prices?
We have four ticket prices;

General Admission £12 (+ booking fee)
Concessions / Students and over 65s £10 (+ booking fee)
Under 16s £6 (+ booking fee)
Under 2s Free

Concessions will require to show valid ID before entry.

 

Why can't I buy tickets for August & September?

Good things come to those who wait! Only July tickets have been released at the moment. Further tickets will be announced shortly. Please keep an eye on our Instagram and BMOF website for future announcements.

Are there any age requirements?
The exhibition is suitable for all ages, however under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. There is a restricted area for over 18s.


Do you have to pre-book tickets?
You do not have to pre-book tickets. You can buy tickets on the door. However, tickets are based on availability and are not guaranteed. Purchase of advanced online tickets is highly recommended. Should there be a queue on the day of your visit, pre-booked tickets will give you priority entrance.


I’ve pre-ordered my ticket online but want to cancel or change the date. Is this possible?
Once your order has been processed, we are unable to refund or reschedule your ticket. Please carefully review your booking before checking out and making payment.


Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
You are allowed to transfer ownership of your ticket until three days before the event. If you would like to transfer ownership of your ticket, you can do this from your Universe account. Tickets can only be transferred individually. You can do this by following these steps. Please note that once tickets have been transferred, the action cannot be undone.

 

Where can I park?
The nearest car park is called Handyside car park in King’s Cross. It is open to the public from 08:00 - 22:00 each day. Please refer to its website for tariffs.

 

How long does it take to go around the exhibition?
We estimate that it will take between 45 minutes to one hour to visit all the galleries, and longer to enjoy the Conehenge café and museum shop. Pre-booked tickets will give you guaranteed entry to the exhibition on the time that you have booked your slot.


Is the museum accessible to the disabled?
The museum is wheelchair accessible. There is also good access from street level from a drop-off point outside the museum entrance and ramps to all areas of the exhibition. Blue Badge-holders, Freedom Pass-holders and PIP/DLA recipients are entitled to a free carer ticket. Complimentary carer tickets are available for General Admission tickets only. Documentation for verification will need to be provided at the reception before entry. You cannot book these complimentary tickets online. Toilet facilities are also accessible.


Is the museum child-friendly?
The museum is child friendly; children are most welcome and there are baby-changing facilities in the toilet. Please note pushchairs cannot be used in the exhibition space itself and they will need to be left – at your own discretion – in our back-of-house area.

 

Gluten & dairy intolerance

Conehenge Cafe:

• Gluten-free cones and tubs are available upon request at no extra charge

• There is a vegan ice cream in Conehenge - Cashew & Coconut Chocolate Chip

• No gluten in ice-cream with the exception of the 'all-day-ice-cream-breakfast' which contains toast for which we use new scoops.

Glow-In-The Dark Ice Cream

• Made with UHT milk - not dairy free
• Tubs are available instead of cones


Are there special effects?
Please be aware that the exhibition is a multi-sensory experience. We may use strobe lighting, flashing lights, lasers, haze, theatrical smoke, speakers and other sound and lighting effects. If you have any concerns before entering the exhibition, please speak to a member of staff.


Is there a cloakroom?
There is no cloakroom available on site. Please do not bring large items of luggage with you.


Are there toilet facilities?
Yes. There is one accessible toilet for all visitors to use.


Can I take photographs?

Photography and filming for personal use is allowed and encouraged! Please feel free tag @bmof_london and #bmofscoop


Is there somewhere to buy refreshments?
There is an ice cream café called Conehenge that sells a range of ice cream flavours and hot and cold drinks.


Can I access the Conehenge café and the shop if I don’t have a ticket?
Yes. Conhenge café and the gift shop are available for non-ticket holders as well as ticket-holders. Conehenge café will close 15 minutes before closing time.


Is there an audio guide?
Sadly, no.


What are the accepted payment methods?
We are a cash-free museum and only accept card payments.

Event Terms & Conditions

  1. E-Tickets will be sent to the email address supplied at the time of booking. These E-Tickets must be shown on a mobile device and presented at the ticket desk. You can also bring a print out if you prefer.

  2. Each ticket is valid for one entrance to SCOOP only.

  3. Tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled once they have been purchased. You are allowed to transfer ownership of your ticket until three days before the event. If you would like to transfer your ticket, you can do this from your Universe account. Tickets can only be transferred individually. Please note that once tickets have been transferred, the action cannot be undone. If you have checked out as a guest, you will need to activate your account to transfer a ticket.

  4. Venue staff reserves the right to refuse entry.

  5. You must comply with the instructions of Venue staff at all times.

  6. We cannot issue any refunds for cancellations or non-arrivals.

  7. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather or any further force majeure.

  8. Any persons deemed intoxicated or to be acting inappropriately will not be permitted into SCOOP and could be removed from the event at any time.

  9. Please arrive promptly for entry. Latecomers may experience delayed entry at busy times.

  10. The event will finish each day at 8.00pm Mondays-Fridays and 6.00pm Saturdays & Sundays. Last admission is 1 hour before finishing time.

  11. Please note under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. 

  12. Your ticket is valid for one full circuit of SCOOP and includes entry to the cafe & shop area.

  13. We have the right to take away any food or drink that has been brought into SCOOP without prior arrangement.

  14. No illegal substances may be brought onto the premises at any time.

  15. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited inside.

  17. VAT is included in all prices, charged at 20%. 

  18. Dogs are not allowed into the venue, except for Guide dogs.

  19. We may carry out photography and/or video recording at the event, which may feature guests. By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree that SCOOP or any authorised party may use such images or video footage in any promotional material. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with SCOOP or the authorised party.

  20. Tickets are available on the door as well as online. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
